Spring 2003

February 24, 2003

As educators who support the principles of peaceful solutions to conflict, we strongly support the efforts of many groups and organizations that are encouraging the United States to act only in concert with the United Nations. Protecting children is our number one priority.

Whereas, a war with Iraq would require the re-direction of vital resources
and funds away from education and other domestic issues;

Therefore, be it resolved that the Saint Paul Federation of Teachers goes on record as opposing war with Iraq.

Be it further resolved that the Saint Paul Federation of Teachers urges its members and affiliates to get involved with organizations working toward
stopping war with Iraq.
