Rules for Creating Rethinking Schools Pages

General Rules

The use of Macromedia's Dreamweaver in constructing pages is recommended. Use their Dreamweaver/Fireworks Studio for best results.

Special rules apply to making sitewide changes.Please read "How this site was built."

Cascading Style sheets

This site uses Cascading style sheets for all type formatting. The main CSS file is: RSstyle.css DO NOT MODIFY THIS FILE. It includes defintions for how text is rendered throughout the entire site. CSS rules for Rethinking Schools

Journal Table Rules

  • The article table is 550 pixels wide
  • Cell padding is 6 pixels
  • The table holds only two rows
  • The top row holds the copy & table of contents
  • The bottom row holds two "blnk.gif":
    • 420w x 1h in the left column
    • 100w x 1h in the right column
  • The copy (left) column is only 1 row and holds all copy
  • This column (left) gets the "txt" class: <td class="txt">
  • The "table of contents" (right) column is 100 pixels wide
  • This column gets the "txt_sml" class <td class="txt_sml">
