The New Teacher Book: About The Editors

The New Teacher Book was edited by four classroom teachers:

Kelley Dawson Salas (rskelley@execpc.com) teaches fourth grade at La Escuela Fratney in Milwaukee and is an editor of Rethinking Schools.

Rita Tenorio (rmmt@aol.com) teaches first grade at La Escuela Fratney in Milwaukee and is a founding editor of Rethinking Schools.

Stephanie Walters (walterss@mtea.weac.org) is a classroom teacher and a staff person for the Milwaukee Teachers' Education Association, the local affiliate of the National Education Association.

Dale Weiss (DMashoya@aol.com) works at La Escuela Fratney in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, teaching reading to fourth graders and coordinating a dual-language grant from the U.S. Department of Education.
